Desktop does not fully refresh when closing Outlook 2002

I have an annoying problem. Whenever I close Outlook 2002, regardless of
the screen size and position, I get a portion of the search toolbar (the
one that contains Look for:, Search In, and Find Now) displayed in the
top left hand corner of the screen. Refreshing the desktop by right
clicking gets rid of this except for the very top portion that runs
along the screen edge.

Here are my specs:

Windows XP Pro SP1 (all up to date except for installation of SP2)
Outlook 2002
Dell Inspiron 8500 Notebook PC
