details of free/busy time while scheduling?

Hi,

I'm just getting acquainted with Entourage 2004, which we're testing
with a hosted exchange offering right now. One thing I don't
understand is if while in an invitation, then scheduling, should I be
able to mouseover the blocked/tentative times in others schedules, and
determine what is blocking their time?

In case I'm not clear, take a look at
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/library/how_to_articles/images/en_checkattendees.gif
.. Can schedule view tell me what is on their calendars on Tuesday at
11AM?

If it can, what variable do I need to adjust to allow that? My
expectations are that anyone should be able to mouseover and see the
title of the event on the calendar, unless it's flagged as private.

That feature does exist in Outlook but I don't believe it exists in
Entourage. It does require that each person have enabled everyone to see
his calendar information, which can only be enabled in Outlook. It's
not automatic for security reasons.

Hope this helps!

Hi William,

You're confirming what I've found elsewhere- that this feature just
isn't there in Entourage 2004. You can set permissions just like in
Outlook, but you're only effecting what Windows users see. It all
just boils down to busy or not for the Mac version.

Here's hoping that Entourage 2008 brings us this feature.
