Dictionary changed to French then quit

A search found about six other postings, none with any responses...
suddenly my outlook 2002 on a XP Home machine started checking in
French. I changed the dictionary back to English. Then it switched its
self back to French, and English was no longer listed. Then it started
to tell me it that Word is configured in correctly, then it said there
aren't enough system resources error 1450.

Any hints?
