Different page view & printed numbering

Hi,
I am printing my document double sided so have added
different headers/footers for odd and even pages. My
document has a title page followed by an odd section break
so the TOC is not printed on the back side. The numbering
with roman numerals is fine for my TOC pages. BUT the
problem starts in my main body. Pages 1-9 are printed
fine and 10-71 are displayed fine in page view and print
preview. However, at page 10 the printed page number is 1
and from then on the next 5 pages are displayed as 1, the
next five as 2, the next five as 3, and so on.

Any help out there?

You've evidently inserted your page numbers using the Insert | Page Numbers
command, which puts the page number in a frame. Although the frame is
formatted with Auto height and width, for some reason it is sometimes too
small and doesn't expand, and that's what's happened here (so you're seeing
only the first digit of your page number).

Although you can solve the problem by increasing the frame size, a much
better solution is to remove the framed page numbers entirely (for
instructions see http://home.zebra.net/~sbarnhill/WanderingFrame.htm) and
insert the page numbers directly in the header or footer. You'll need to
check the box for "Different first page" (Layout tab of Page Setup) in order
to have separate headers and footers for the odd and even pages. If you've
already created headers/footers in this way (as your wording suggests), that
is all the more reason to include the page numbers as part of them and not
in frames.
