we have an ERP (baan) that uses notepad as a text editor for things
like sales order text
any other editor will not work
now we have users pasting customer PO information from a word document
into notepad, bringing along unicode representation for characters like
single-quote, double-quote, dash, etc
unfortunately this causes problems when printing sales order document
is there a way to set either the word or notepad default to UTF-8
(8-bit character) instead of unicode ?
