disable Office2003 splashscreen

arto raiskio

any way to disable via registry the office2003 splashscreens?

similar to gpedit.msc for IE and OE? or regedit?

if there is a way, will it also take care of project2003 and visio2003?

ie. HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\11.0\ ???

Hi Arto,

Disabling the splash screens won't speed up the loading
of the apps and there is no longer a user or company name
on them, partly because on faster machines they're not
there long enough to be read :)

Some of the Office apps have command line switches you
can use in a non-MSI created shortcut. For example, for
Word it's Winword.exe /Q
