Disabling automatic Read Receipt responses

Is there a way to prevent the sending of read receipt responses in
Outlook 2000? Outlook is being used within a corporate Exchange
environment and has been configured to use Microsoft Exchange Server
information service (not the Internet Email information service).

check ur email setting..
Tools-Options-Preferences-Email Options-Tracking Options
uncheck Read Receipt

It means you can't deny read receipts from other Exchange mailboxes. Not
sure if Watch Your Back! from www.grinningshark.com will, but check it out.

I generally hate read receipts. I think they're rude.
