Disabling the Progress Pop-Up

Anybody know how to make it so that the Progess Pop-Up that appears
when entourage is checking mail does not pop-up every time. It pops up
every couple of minutes and is driving me crazy. Is there anyway to
"minimize" it so I don't have to see it?

Did you look at the Notification section in Preferences? I believe it's the
first check box that should be off.

Notifications won't affect the Progress dialaog.

However, if you just close the progress window it should no longer pop up
again. A minimalist progress report is shown in the status area of the main
window (in the lower right hand border of the window).
