Disappearing Holiday (Time Off)

Hi,

In MS Project I entered Labour Day as a day where no work should be
performed. However, every so often the holiday goes back to the status
of a work day and messes up my project dates.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

I keep going back and re-setting the day as a holiday (then saving).
But for some reason when I perform some other actions in project it
reverts back.

Hi clickagent75,

Just a couple of questions:
Are you entering the holiday in the project calendar and not just in a
resource or task calendar? (Check which calendar is the project calendar in
Project > Project Information.)

Are your resource's base calendars set to the project calendar? (Check the
resource sheet)

Are you using task calendars? Has the holiday been set in the task
calendar?

You mention that the holiday reverts back to a working day when you "perform
some other actions". What other actions?

If I set a day as nonworking and then drag a task in the Gantt chart, I do
get a warning about moving the task to start on a nonworking day. If I
select the option to make that day a working day, it will change the
calendar and over ride the earlier change.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie
