Discussion web reply order

I have the replies to posts ordered from newest to oldest.

Question:

Is it possible to push the original post up to the top of the contents list
when their is a reply?

Right now, if one posts a reply to an older post, it stays way down near the
bottom, and makes it less likely to be seen by people perusing the forum.
This will be even more of a problem as more and more postings occur.
