For presentation purposes have the ability to display or project the entire
gantt view on a screen or interactive whiteboard while still in a mode where
editing can be done

JEB957,
I guess I'm a little lost when you say "...entire gantt view...". Do you
mean without scroll bars? If that's the case, I'm having a hard time
understanding how that would help since every project I've worked with
would be so large that a "full screen" presentations would be too small
to read. Only the very simplest of projects (e.g. high level plans)
would be readable when viewed in their entirety on one screen.

I'm just trying to understand what you are asking for.

John,
My motive is connected to an article I just read in Presentation Magazine
called "A Clean Slate."
http://www.presentations.com/presentations/search/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001433698; It discusses the virtues of interactive whiteboards.

I have been a big proponent that project teams are most effective when the
entire gantt chart is printed out and posted on a wall in the conference
room/war room. Visual learning is powerful. I conclude that if a gant chart
has fewer than 250 tasks and can be printed and posted on the wall, why
should I think that I cannot project this same image on some surface [e.g. a
large interactive whiteboard] the same size as it would print out off my HP
DesignJet 500 large format printer?
I hope that clarifies my question. Thanks,

Printers have much higher resolution than projectors do. For example many
projectors have a vertical resolution of 720 pixels. With 250 tasks this
would leave less than three pixels in height to display a task. The real
issue is not with the software but with display resolution. Given the right
hardware Project COULD display the way you want.
