Display/Font blurry after SP2 update

I updated my computer to SP2 and found that many of the fonts were slightly
blurry. This was particularly noticable in Word, though it also is the case
in other programs. I like to have the view set to Page Width and to have the
windows rather large, but the larger the size of the view, the more noticable
the blur around the fonts become. Can I make the fonts more crisp somehow?

Do you have ClearType or font smoothing enabled? If so, and if you're
viewing the text on a CRT rather than an LCD screen, that could be the
problem.

Thanks for the response, I will check the Clear Type issue when I get to my
computer. However, I have an LCD screen.
