Displaying daily progress

How do I insert a thermometer into a daily email that will show our progress
toward a goal?

Oh...I'm not sure. I guess I just assumed powerpoint would be a good place
to start investigating. Would Outlook be a better place to begin?

LOL! I guess I don't know, either. :)

Do you use Outlook for email?

Do you want your recipients to have to open a PPT slide to see the progress?
Or were you thinking you'd save the slide as an image and embed that in the
body of the email?

Just trying to figure out what might work the best for you.

Well, there are quite a few thermometers on the MS clipart page.

http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/results.aspx?lc=en-us&Scope=MC,MM,MP,MS&Query=thermometer

You can download any that look interesting, and if they're actual clip art
WMFs or EMFs (as opposed to a photo or an animated GIF) , you can more than
likely ungroup them on a PPT slide, modify the clip, regroup, and then
right-click and Save As Picture. Embed the picture in your email, and you're
good to go. When you do the Save As Picture, try choosing GIF -- it should
do a good job of saving the clips and should work well in email.

If you want to do an animated GIF, you'll need to edit the aniGIF in
something like GIF Construction Set

Thanks so much for giving it some thought...I'm hoping to find a way to have
it embedded in my daily update so when the team opens the email the progress
is displayed on the thermometer. I have copied a clipart thermometer, but
it's pretty primitive. I'm still looking for a better sample to embed...any
other ideas?

Is this a PowerPoint question?
