displaying joined items

Morning.

How can I see a preview or an icon if another item, file or e-mail is
joined with another Entourage item? It would be very helpfull if I
could open a joined file by doubleclicking the joined files icon in the
items window. Do you know what I mean?

How can I get this feature?

Unfortunately, Entourage cannot combine & decode attachments split over
multiple messages/posts. If you're talking about attachments in a
newsgroup, try using another newsreader with more advanced capabilities like
MT-NewsWatcher (free):

Ah, I had assumed the OP was talking about linked items, in which case a
link icon appears in the folder listing, and linked items can be opened from
there...
