Displaying non-working time

Why does the non-working time display?

I have a master project with several sub projects. The non-working time
displays correctly in the sub projects but not the master.

Thoughts please...

Sally,
A couple of points. First the formatting for a master project is
independent of formatting that is used in individual subprojects -
that's one of the benefits of having a master file. Second, non-working
time is displayed according to the setting under
Format/Timescale/Non-working time tab.

Hope this helps.

Thanks John,

I have set the non-working time to display, just as I have in the
sub-project however it doesn't appear to want to display. I was wondering if
there is any kind of conflict in displaying non working times from the sub
projects that would cause the master project to not display this criteria.

I have also asked the MS gods if sacraficing chickhen would help? Needless
to say no reply...

Sally,
First let's clarify something. When you say, "...it doesn't appear to
want to display", what exactly do you mean? Non-working time basically
has three options: display behind task bars, display in front of task
bars, and do not display. But in order to display anything, the finest
timescale must be in days (or finer). In other words, if the finest
timescale is weeks, months, or something larger, non-working time won't
show up even if the option is selected.

With regard to the MS gods (whoever they are), you probably didn't get a
response because they didn't know what you were talking about (i.e.
"sacraficing chickhen" - no such words in the English language). A
little proofreading goes a long way.
