I must be really thick. Can anyone please help. I have
noticed that when using outlook express it is possible to
receive JPGs as attachments that are also seen as part of
the body of message. Using Outlook I can't seem to
getthe same effect. The JPGs arrrive as attachments that
cann only be viewd by opening the files. I'm sure that
for someone in the know it is a simple task to be able to
view the pictures within the message.

Hope you can help

You can't. Outlook only displays pictures inline when they are inserted in
the body by Insert-> Picture... (for HTML or Rich Text). When they are added
by using Insert-> Attachment... the picture will also show up as attachment.

Have you tried creating a Word document, inserting the JPG
that you want, and sending that as an inline file? As
opposed to sending the Word document as an attachment,
email choose File > Send to > Mail Recipient and whatever
is in the Word document will show up in the email.
