Distorted boxes appear in PPT when exported and viewed on TV monit

I've noticed that when I save a PPT slide that has a box-like graphic that is
located near the side of the slide out as a PNG and import it into any
editing program, the sides of the graphic look wavy or bowed out on the right
side of the frame when viewed on the TV monitor. This situation also occurs
when I save a presentation out as a movie, and then import it into my editing
program, and view it on the NTSC monitor. Any suggestions to get rid of the
wavy lines?

How close to the edge of the screen is the problem graphic? TV monitors are
often a bit shaky near the edges, the chances are if you use a different
monitor the problem will be different again. And it gets worse if you're
using a widescreen TV.
