distribution list by e-mail

I e-mailed the list as an outlook item. It opens just fine. But, how do I save it. I went to save and close and it doesn't save the distribution list to my contacts list in the address book. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for helping me.

If you have your Contacts folder showing in your folder list, try dragging
the list icon from the email to the contacts folder - that should copy it.
