Could someone please advise. I am putting together a training cd for
staff and the presentations will be on powerpoint. Do MS allow
individuals to include ppt viewer on cd's.

I have registered with adobe for free distribution of their pdf without
a problem and would happily register with ms if required.

Yes, the Viewer can be distributed. You don't have to register.

If you are using PowerPoint 2003, just go to [File] > [Package for CD]
and all the necessary files, including the viewer, will be created for
you.

Try this FAQ on our site at

teaches you how to autorun a PowerPoint presentation, but also other
formats such as PDF and HTML.
