Do I need a root certificate

Hi,

Trying to configure my Entourage 2004 SP2 Mac to play nicely with my new
companies Exchange 2003 server. My companies support guy is not Mac literate
and so I'm after some info to help troubleshoot my problems.

The key issue is root certificates and if I actually need one? What settings
on the Exchange server would determine whether I need a root certificate
and/or if I need a secure SSL connection.

Connect through webmail. If the address ends up i https:// then you need
a secure connection. If the certificate is not accepted by the System
just like that, then you most probably need to import their root
certificate.
Entourage should give you a warning that the server is not trusted
though.
