I HAVE A SECOND HAND COPY OF OFFICE HOME AND STUDENT 2007 WITH 2 LICENSES
STILL REMAINING. Does it require previous owners e-mail address or any
information to install it again? Some programs require the owners name to
reactivate it a second or third time?

No, and registration is optional, activation is compulsory
BTW Office H&S is licenced for 3 concurrent installations, that means on 3
working PC's You can install as often as you like provided you dont exceed 3
working PC's

If you have purchased a second hand copy of Office you should have received
the installation media, the original license key sticker and the assurance
from the previous owner that they have uninstalled the program on their
computer (especially Office 2007 H & S.) If all the above situations have
been met then you have not two but three installations. The third one may
require telephone activation. If you have not received all the above, then
you have purchased a pirated version of the software (either a copied
installation DVD, or the license key written on a piece of paper and not the
original sticker on the DVD case would indicate that the program is still
being retained and used by the original purchaser of the software.

The Home and Student license is specific and they include: (items in
parenthesis are my comments)

"1. OVERVIEW. These license terms permit installation and use of a copy of
the software on three devices, along with other rights, all as described
below.

2. INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS. Before you use the software under a license,
you must assign that license to a device. That device is a “licensed
device.†A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate
device.

a. Licensed Device. You may install one copy of the software on three
licensed devices in your household for use by people who reside there (some
say that college kids are excepted but do they really reside there?) The
software is not licensed for use in any commercial, non-profit, or
revenue-generating business activities.

15. TRANSFER TO A THIRD PARTY. The first user of the software may make a
one-time transfer of the software, and this agreement, directly to a third
party. The first user must uninstall the software before transferring it
separately from the device. The first user may not retain any copies. Before
any permitted transfer, the other party must agree that this agreement
applies to the transfer and use of the software. The transfer must include
the proof of license (the certificate of authenticity and license key
sticker). If the software is an upgrade, any transfer must also include all
prior versions of the software. Military Appreciation Edition software is
only transferable to other Qualified Military Users. "

Hope this information helps you understand the licensing terms of the
software you purchased. If the purchase is outside of these licensing terms
I would recommend returning the software and request a refund of purchase
price and if, in fact it was sold, the seller refuses refund contact
Microsoft using the information in this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/howtotell/reports/report.aspx and it will
help you determine if your purchase (or gift) is genuine.
