"Do you want to re-establish links?" nag screen upon open

Using hammock tasks. I get the above nag screen upon opening the .mpp. Is
there any way to edit the global settings in the app to accept by default and
therefore eliminate that nag?

Brian,
Sure, go to Tools/Options/Edit tab and uncheck the option "ask to update
automatic links".

Duh. Thank you! Now can I also make this selection a part of a global.mpt
file that I distribute to my enterprise?

Actually, the act of eliminating the nag screen effectively tells Project to
not update links. What I want to do is allow links to be updated dynamically
but not show the nag screen. I wonder if there is a VBS that would do it.

Brian,
First, your Global question. If you change the option, it is a change to
the Global, therefore if you operate directly from the Enterprise Global
and have administrative rights for that Global, then the setting should
be applicable to all users. However I don't use Project Server so I
don't really know if there are additional steps that must be taken. You
could post to our sister newsgroup, microsoft.public.project.server for
more information.

Unchecking the option simply stops automatic update when the file is
opened. However, it does NOT prevent the hammock task from updating if
the driving tasks are edited when the file is active.
