document imaging needs to close

If I dare click on "file" - document imaging displays the error message that
it "needs to close"
All the other pull down menus work ok.

Using office 2003.
All other office 2003 components seem to be working ok-word, excel etc

How do I fix or repair this?
Or do I need to re-install ?
If re-install is necessary, how do I do that?
