Document protection

One of my report writing people protected a document and
then forgot the password. Is there any way around the
document protection?

Tom,

It depends on what kind of protection was used, i.e., password to open,
password to modify, protected for forms, etc. If you post the specific type
of protection applied, somebody will reply with the specific approach to
circumvent the password.

Thanks Chad, for the advice. It was a password to protect
locks out most functions in the menu bar, like opening it
in read only view.

In that case, it's probably just protected for forms. Use Insert | File to
insert it in a fresh document; this will remove the protection.
