Forgive me for asking, but how does one go about tracking a message in Outlook? I went looking for a track message item but couldn't find one.

If you can explain what "track" messages actually does we might be able to
tell you how to accomplish this in Entourage. I've never used Outlook so
have no idea what you are talking about.

Dear All,

I didn't know where else to post this, i apologize if it's in the wrong spot...

Background info - I am a new user of Apple computers - I bought a MacBook Pro not too long ago and this is my first time using Entourage.

I normally work on several different projects at the same time for my company and I would like to set up all incoming as well as out going email messages to automatically go into its respective project folder.

I read through Help several times and tried to follow the directions but still could not get it to work. Could someone please advice?

Thanking you in advance for your time and willingness to share.

It's always best to start your own topic rather than add on to one.

First welcome to the Mac. I have a few tips posted to help new users here:

Be sure to read "Troubleshooting Project Center Projects". (This comes from
users on the Entourage talk list.)

You might find more help with the project center on the Entourage talk list.
There are many long time Entourage users there that don't post on the
newsgroup. It's a small moderated list.

Romilly,

I've given this a different subject, since you are really starting a new
thread with a new topic.

You need to learn how to use Rules to get incoming and outgoing messages to
automatically go into a respective project folder.

You can learn the basics of rules here:
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/rules/index.html>

You would need to set up both incoming and outgoing rules.

If you are talking about actual _projects_ that you want to track, perhaps
the easiest way to set that up is with the Project Center (View menu, select
Go To > Project Center).

A project set up there can be defined to automatically route mail from
particular people, or with certain subjects, to the project folder.

Read all about Project Center here:

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq_topic/project_center.html>

Hope this helps!

Allen
