Does Entourage work with Exchange shared Address's?

I was under the assumption that entourage worked with the Exchange shared
address just like it did in Outlook. But this doesn't always seem to be the
case. Would I also be correct in assuming that some exchange administrators
don't know how to setup a proper shared address book?

Yes, it is different. Outlook collects the data using MAPI, if I remember
correctly, whereas Entourage connects to the Global Address Book usingthe
industry-standard LDAP protocol.

"Proper" isn't necessarily the word I would use. Unless the administrator
has users connecting from clients other than Outlook and Outlook Web Access,
he or she might not have any reason to turn on LDAP access.

As I'm not an administrator, I don't know the answer to your question for
sure, but I suppose the situation you mention is possible.

Do you mean the Global Address Book ??? Entourage can access it but
there's a trick. Outlook can query and browse the GAL directly (through
MAPI). Entourage needs LDAP to be enabled on the Exchange server to
query the address book and then you cannot browse through it, just query
it.
