doesn't recognize id-password after repair

running xp pro sp1, outlook 2002. saved outlook files in
pst file. Had to reinstall Office XP pro due to
unrelated problems. everything seems to be back in
place but outlook (corporate/exchange)doesn't recognize
the user id and password so the user is no longer able to
access his account on the machine. When testing on
another machine (w2k, office 2k) the user-id and password
is recognized and accepted. Is this an XP problem or an
outlook 2002 problem? Some registry entry left over from
the previous install? Any suggestions of work arounds
will be appreciated. Thank you.
