Don't filter my inbox without asking me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry Schankin

What I want to say to try and express my frustration with what your software
did automatically when I upgraded from Office 2000 to Office 2003 cannot be
put in print!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your software should not automaically do things
without asking me and explaining what the results will be. I still cannot
figure out how to remove the filter on my inbox so I can see my older emails.

Once you have wiped away the tears of rage and daintily dabbed at the foam
dripping from your gums why dont you tell us what happened, then a kind
hearted probably non Microsoft employee may be able to help :)

I have wiped the tears and foam. I just keep running across things that are
very different since I have upagraded to Office 2003. The latest episode
that prompted the email below was that I was looking for an email that was
about 2-3 weeks old. For some reason, Outlook was now filtering my email (in
my Inbox) and only emails I received in the last week were available for me
to see, even though it was obvious in the information bar on the lower left
of my Outlook window that I had quite a number of emails still in my inbox.
I did figure out through Outlook Help how to turn this feature off but it was
still very frustrating, especially when I was in a hurry.

Another peculiarity that has cropped up, that maybe someone can help me
figure out, is that on occasion, when I click on an email, a window pops up
that says it is getting ready to start installing FrontPage. I already have
FrontPage installed so I'm not sure what it is doing or why. Anyone else
seen this one?

Thanks,

Larry Schankin

Larry,

What version of FrontPage? Is it also 2003?

Have you tried to re-install FrontPage to let it repair itself?

L

Larry Schankin

Not FrontPage 2003, 2000. It states it is configuring to install FrontPage
2000 SR-1. It then asks for the FrontPage 2000 SR-1 CD-ROM and also states
that the feature I am trying to use is on a CD-ROM and is not available. My
question is, why would any email be using something found in FrontPage? It's
a stand-alone package.

Does this help?

Thanks,

Larry Schankin
