Don't show addresses when sending to group

In my Entourage email contact groups, I have selected "Don't show
addresses when sending to group."
However, when I send an email, all addresses are displayed to all
recipients, & no group name is shown in the To column in my Sent
folder. This is exactly the opposite of what I need & what I would
expect when selecting that box. How do I make it stop working
backwards?

Mac Pro system 10.4.7
Microsoft Entourage 2004 11.2.5

When you send a message to a group for which you have checked the
"Don't show" box, the message goes to each addressee as a BCC. The
recipient sees the name of the group and your address in the "To" area.

When you open the message from your Sent Items folder, you will see all
of the addressees listed as BCCs.

Also, when received by AOL, the mail _may_ display a line saying "apparently
to" and list all the AOL BCC recipients - this is AOL's broken
implementation.
