Double and triple emails

Have just upgraded from Office X to the latest version of Office 2004 and
Entourage appears to be receiving email twice or three times. I run Office
2004 on OSX 10.3.9. We have a local mail server (Communigate Pro) running on
OSX Server 10.3.9. The only change is from Office X to Office 2004. Has
anybody else experienced this problem and found a cure?

Yes, I have seen it for the first 10-15 minutes, then never again. It might
have something to do with the "Live Sync" option if you are using IMAP. I
enabled that feature around the same time, the problem disappeared. Give it
a try if you still have that problem.

Thanks Sven but I am not using IMAP and hence do not have any Live Sync
options enabled. The problem is not consistent: I do not get every message
twice or three times; some I get once, some twice, some three times - no
consistency
