Download BOT How To -

I have a web page under construction where my customers can access files
for download that are patches to the hardware devices they've purchased from
us. The web page has user authentication in place so that all users arriving
to the page are previously validated so I don't need further authentication
for the downloads themselves. What I would like to have is a download button
that when left clicked brings up a download dialogue box with save to file
option and perhaps run from location or similar selections.
Is there some Bot or another I can configure to accomplish this easily,
please? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you all...

No, you just add a note to have the user right click and select save, unless you provide the
download files in zip file format, in which case they will get prompted.

Thank you Mr. Rowe. Your time is much appreciated. I also found a
javascript tutorial that provides some alternate solutions.
By the way, what is a Bot anyway? I've used a bunch of them very
successfully. But, only as a cut and paste thing. I don't have a clue where
they come from or how they work. I get the feeling they have some kind of
javascript thing going on.
Anyway, thanks again. You folks are outstanding!
