Download from Exchange to Desktop (and remove from Exchange)

My Sync with 2004 works great. How do I now set this up so I can
permanentely download a copy of all messages to my desktop (to reduce
the size of my Exchange account on the server?)

You can either move the mesages to a different folder on your Mac, or use the
Exchange account through POP. THat's the only ways I can think of :-\
