Download Pictures Question

Lynn Quinlan

Hi there,

I'm a new Mac user. When I receive some e-mail messages I am unable to view
the pictures without first clicking on "Download Pictures" at the top of the
message preview area. I have hunted around to see if this is an option I
can change so that the pictures download automatically within the message
body, but without success.

Is this a standard security feature or can this option to automatically
download the pictures be changed so that it is enabled? If so, how do I
accomplish this?

Thanks so much.

A new security feature in Entourage 2004 blocks the display of pictures (and
other linked mail content) hosted on remote sites. Images can be loaded for
individual messages by clicking on the ŒDownload Pictures¹ link in the
yellow message status bar. This was a huge feature request from users that
found the all embracing ŒAll Pictures¹ or ŒNo Pictures¹ too limiting.

There is a setting in the security section of the preferences to
automatically download pictures from recipients who are in your address
book. That should suffice for most users.

I disagree Barry.
I'd really like to not have to manually download pictures I get from lots of
people who are not in my address book. Am I out of luck on this? Thanks.
