Downloading from Comcast POP 3

When the send and receive starts it downloads all of my messages from
Comcast every time even the ones already in my inbox. I shut it off since I
had over 7000 emails in my inbox. Is there a setting I have wrong? Any help
would be greatly appreciated other wise I will not be able to use Entourage
as my email system. Thank Brian

In Accounts under the Option tab, you can select how you want Entourage to
manage mail on the server.

However, your problem seems to involve other problems. It could be database
corruption.

How to rebuild:

Be sure to make a backup copy in the Finder of your Identity before
rebuilding. ...extra insurance in case the rebuild copy goes bad.
