Downloading powerpoint-HELP!!!!

I have been trying and trying to find where I can
download powerpoint from, for my high school son!
Obviously, my computer knowledge is not nearly extensive
enough! I don't know where to go, or what to do! I've
been through Office XP Updates and Downloads, but cannot
seem to get it on my computer. Can I purchase this
software somewhere? I have Windows XP. HELP!!!!!!!!!!

You must purchase it. It is not part of Windows. PowerPoint is available
either as a standalone application or as a component of Microsoft Office.
You can find it at your computer store, or at many online shopping sources.

As Sonia's mentioned, PowerPoint's not free - you need to purchase it if you
need it to create presentations with. If you and your son only need to view
or print presentations, then the free viewer will do fine:
