Drag and drop?

OS 10.4.3, iBook G4. Entourage 11.2.1.

I cannot highlight text in Word and drag it to a message window. When I
highlight and drag, I see the white + sign in a green circle, but the
info does not drop into the message.

Is that not possible? Am I doing something wrong?

Drag and drop works fine here - Word to newspost window.

Odd, isn't it? What I do is use an intermediate (for example, drag from
Word to TextEdit and then to Entourage). Or just copy and paste. m.

Thanks, Matt. I copy and paste and every time I do I shake my head in
wonder at the inability to do that little trick when I can drag and drop
from Word into Excel and PowerPoint. I'd like to know the reasoning for
the lack of that feature between Word and Entourage.
