Dragging a message onto the calendar icon tocreate a new appointment?

I have just upgraded to Office:mac 2008 from 2004.

I also run Parallels with Win XP on my iMac and am hoping to cease doing that given my experiences with the new version of Entourage.
I find Entourage '08 to be "very close" in terms of an apples-to-apples comparison with Outlook 2003.

In Outlook 2003, I can drag an inbox e-mail onto the Calendar icon and immediately have the contents of that e-mail open up within a new calendar entry that can then be dated and saved within my calendar for a follow up action or remainder. It is a very simple process that I rely on in my day-to-day activities.

In Entourage 2008 , I would like to be able to do the same thing, but the software does not have that same capability. Is there an alternative process that accomplishes the same result with 1-2 mouse clicks?

If you flag your message in Entourage 2008, you can assign it a reminder and
due date. Just use the drop down next to the ³To Do² button in the toolbar.

In Entourage 2008 you can simply flag a mail message as a ToDo (for
follow-up) -- and you can also have a remainder associated with this mail.
OK, it¹s not the same thing as creating a calendar event from a mail
message, but if all you need to have is a visible follow-up action and/or
reminder, but it¹s much faster (just one click) and makes more sense in most
cases.

ToDos get displayed in several views (Calendar, MyDay, Tasks).

Thank you both for your replies. I believe I have discovered a better solution for my needs. I explored the Automator AppleScripts for Entourage. There was a ready made one that's titled "Create Event from message"

I followed the instructions and copied the file to the Microsoft User Data Folder and it works for me as a pull down menu under the script menu (far right menu item)

Machool,
Could you please give more details where you found this script?
