Drop down lists

I am hurriedly trying to enter a drop down list i am following the instructions and have pressed the drop down list icon and entered my list but when i hit ok, it doesnt drop down, what am i doing wrong?

If you are talking about a DropDown Formfield, have you protected the
document for forms?

I am trying to create a template letter where I have spaces that the typist can drop in the necessary information. How do you create a prompt to prompt them to enter information?

The most elegant method is a UserForm, which requires vba programming
ability.

You may want to use Fill-In fields, Ask fields, or MacroButton fields. The
first two pop up questions/prompts and take the information from the user.
The second is like the fields you see in some of the built-in FAX and letter
templates - a prompt in the document. You click on it and type what you
want, replacing the prompt.
