drop down menus

I'm creating a ppt for officers in my battalion to use when briefing how they
will conduct their ranges. The majority of the text will remain the same,
but several places in the slides they will need to change information such as
name, rank, date, weapon systems, etc. How can I do this with either
highlighted text or even a drop down menu in the slide itself?
For example, I have it set up with a _________ for a place where the name or
range should be and I would like to create something that the person running
the range can just click on the ______ or highlighted text and type in their
info or selected from a drop down menu.
Thanks,

Charles,
Honestly I think you would be better of not to use PPT for this. Word would
be a far better choice. In Word you can create forms that have the same
text, but, at the same time you can choose items from a drop down menu or
use fill-in fields where you can type in any information you want.
If you want I can give you some useful links that will direct you to
tutorials explaining how to go about it.
Just post back if you are interested.
