Hi everybody,

What is Decision Suppot Object (DSO)? And How do you
install it?

Thanks,
Anahita

It is the "connection" software that SQL uses to
communicate between SQL Server and Project Server when
they are installed on two separate servers. Just insert
the SQL CD into the CD Drive for your Project Server
machine and it will recognize that it needs to install
DSO as an option. Choose only that option and continue
and things will be OK.

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure that the Decision Support Objects are
part of SQL Server's Analysis Services and are required if Project Server
and Analysis Services are installed on separate machines. DSO needs to be
installed on the Project Server machine to communicate with the Analysis
Services machine. Otherwise, everything else that Kevin says holds true.
