Dual Boot - Install XP after Vista?

Hello:

I just got a new laptop that has Vista Home Basic preinstalled on it.
I found that many of my apps are not working properly on Vista. So,
I'd like to install XP Pro and have it be my default O/S. Will by
doing so wipe out my Vista?

And what has this to do with OUTLOOK?

Yes this can be done but since this isn't an Outlook question, use Google
Groups to find the answer to your question.
