Dual Roles on a Project

If you have someone performing dual roles on a project, I cannot assign taks
to them for dual role. For example: Project Manager/Project Coordinator???

How can I assign both tasks to myself?

Please advise. Thanks!

In the Resource Sheet view of the project, enter your name twice, but with
the role attached to the name. For example, Anum - PM and Anum - PC. Hope
this helps.

Hi Dale,

If I enter my name twice in the 'Resource Sheet View', those Resources will
not be 'Enterprise Resource' correct? How do I assign dual role to myself and
also be the Enterprise Resource?

Thanks!

You failed to mention you are using Project Server 2007 in your original
post, and posted this message in the newsgroup dedicated to the Microsoft
Project desktop application only, so I assumed you were using the Microsoft
Project 2007 desktop application only. Therefore, please disregard my
original answer. The way around your issue is to create a custom enterprise
Task field that lists the Roles a user might play in your projects. Then
insert that custom enterprise Task field in the Task Usage view and specify
a Role value for each resource assignment on every regular task. Hope this
helps.

Yes, I read your response, but I am still confused about the following:

In your original question, you failed to mention that you were using Project
Server. Therefore, I gave you a response that is applicable for the
Microsoft Project desktop application only. Therefore, you need to ignore
that response, as it will not work in a Project Server environment. Because
you are using Project Server, you will need to create a custom enterprise
Task field for this purpose. Hope this helps.
