duplex printing-text does not line up front and back of pages

Trying to print the pages of a book but when pages are duplex printed and
held up to light, text on one side is 3cm to the left of the reverse side.
Have checked margins, paper size, paper alignment in tray, etc. All OK.
Anyone have a solution?

Could it be a printer issue? Maybe your printer doesn't allow the same
margin on the sides. (Just guessing.)
