Duplicate Birthday Items

I'm finding that I have duplicate Birthday Items, what's causing this and
how do i get rid of it?

Here's what i tried but didnt work: Tried deleting all birthday items.
opened contact. changed birthday data + 1 day. saved it. then set birthday
back to original date. then saved it again. Didnt work. Birthday items not
autogenerated by outlook.
