Duplicate Contacts box

I installed Outlook to connect to my pop3 server and later bought a new
machine. In the process of moving everything over, I suddenly have a
duplicate but empty contacts box that Outlook is defaulting to. How do I get
rid of it and keep my own contacts.

I just had a problem that sounds similar to yours--I FIRST noticed a
duplicate contacts folder then found out it was worse than that.

Here's a link to my post (and the solution that was offered to me which
