Duplicate/disappearing email

When I run Entourage I am accessing my .Mac email through IMAP. A few times
I¹ve had mail disappear on me. A message will download and then later on it
is no longer in my Inbox. Now, I¹ve also seen instances in which another
message will duplicate itself in the list. I believe that when I am deleting
the ³duplicate² message I am inadvertently deleting the ³disappearing²
message as when I check my email through another source, Mail app or .Mac
webmail, I find that deleted message in the trash.

Any idea on how to keep my messages from duplicating themselves and causing
all this confusion?

Launch Entourage holding down Option key and choose Typical Rebuild. That
should fix it. If not, repeat, but choose Advanced.
