For the past month or so Entourage is downloading duplicate email from our Exchange 2003 server, on a what appears to be a random basis. My colleague who has the same set up, is not having this problem.

Although you're using Exchange Server are you connecting as an Exchange
client or as a POP client? Exchange will synchronize. POP can sometimes
duplicate messages if the server has been reset.

If you see this in just one or a handful of folders then right-click or
Control-click that folder, select Folder Properties and click the Empty
button to empty the cache. You can also select the account itself and
empty the cache for all of your folders.

You might try using Entourage --> Switch Identity... to create a new
identity and then set up your Exchange account again. All your data
should download from the server.

I'm connecting as an Exchange client.

It just happened again this morning, I have set up a new identity and and going to see how that works.

I would expect this to fix the duplication errors, if not please let us
know. A problem with your identity can sometimes have an effect like this
during a sync with the Exchange server. I haven't seen the problem remain
with a new identity and account.

Hope it works!
