Duplicate emails

I recently went out of town with my laptop. While away, all of my emails
that are left on the server would download two to four times within a couple
of days. All of a sudden it would not download any new emails all together.
When I got back home, all emails downloaded again, and the new emails, that
were not coming through, came through only once, along with duplicates of
previous emails. Everything has been ok since I got home. This has
happened several times before, and every time it has happened, I have been
out of town. I have read forums online, and no one has a clear solution on
how to prevent this from happening again.

It seems that it happens when there is a break in the connection, which
causes a break in the synchronization mechanism between the server and
Entourage. What can I do to prevent this from happening?

Thanks,
Lisa

Yes, but no one responded. Thanks for helping.

I started to respond but you had written in such a small font I decided not
to bother. Obviously you don't care if it's viewable so why should I bother
to respond.

Interesting. With MT-NewsWatcher, all posts show up in the same font
face, size, and style. Is that not how Entourage works?

No, the forum messages are all plain text so they show in the font and size
I have selected, but messages sent with a newsreader show up the way they
were sent. The OP used a very small font size. Extremely inconsiderate IMHO.

When there are so many messages to be answered, I don't bother with ones
that the OP uses no consideration for the people that answer them.

Gee, JR, you of all people should have guessed that the original message was
in HTML, not plain text! :) That's why it looked too small in Entourage.
Your reply in plain text fortunately converted the remainder of the thread
to plain text (at least for posters set up to reply in the same format as
the message replied to).
