after syn with .Mac I get multiple events in Entourage Calendar
How do I remove these? and prevent them from happening?

To detect the duplicates, I always affect a categoy to my events.
Duplicate event don't have the category (since categories don;t sync
through SyncServices). I can then use one of the views to list al my
events and simply dlete all the events that don;t have a category (sort
by category).
If it's not already the case, (you never affected any category), you can
restrict the View to recurring events. I've only had this problem with
recurring events.
This is apparently a bug, though I don't know whether it is a bug in
Entourage or in the System. Since the data goes backand forth between
the two, it's hard to tell.
I've also had the problem once or twice with contacts. It only affected
contacts that had a middle initial (I just had to stop entering middle
initials for my contacts :-< ).
