My exchange 2000 account in Entourage seems to be working fine with the
exception of the calendar. For some reason every holiday is duplicate
multiple (25+) times.
Anyone have a fix for this?
It seems like its going to take me forever to manually remove the entries.
Ah Eric, welcome to the wonderful world of Entourage X. I once ended up
with over 25,000 holidays - a pity I could not take them all...
The only way that I was able to remove the damn things was to delete all
holidays. The easiest way to do this is to do a FIND for all Calendar
Events that have Holiday as a category (for example - you may have to do a
find for events that have DAY in the name as well). That will list them up
in the Find Results window, and then you can select multiples, and delete
them as a bunch. Note that this is not a quick process, and will take some
time, but it is infinitely quicker than deleting them one at a time.
The reason I suggest you delete everything is that I found that they keep on
duplicating if you don't delete them all. It seems to be a somewhat
unstable part of Entourage, although not the only one. I still have my
database corrupting at least once a week, which is evidenced by the infamous
Beach Ball appearing, and Entourage stops responding, so I have to FORCE
QUIT. I then have to do an Advanced Rebuild of the database and load all
messages again from the server. This is a real pain.
